About Dentist Tasmania
Dentist Tasmania is a directory, not a clinic. It lists dental clinics across Tasmania by region, explains what common dental treatments involve, and sets out who pays for care: the Child Dental Benefits Schedule for children, Oral Health Services Tasmania for eligible concession-card adults, and health funds or private payment for everyone else. It does not rank, recommend or price-compare clinics, and it does not take bookings.
How Clinics Are Listed
Clinic listings are sourced from Google Maps business data and cross-checked against each clinic's own website or published address where one exists. A clinic's name, address, phone number, category and Google rating are shown as sourced facts, with the source and check date stated. Clinics do not pay for placement, and listings are sorted by distance or name, never by a subjective "best" ranking. The full process is on themethodology page.
How Treatment Guides Are Written
Every figure in a treatment guide, whether a clinical statistic, a public dental co-payment or an ADA item number, is traced to a named, dated primary source: a peer-reviewed study, an Australian or Tasmanian government page, or the ADA's own Schedule of Dental Services. Where no official figure exists, such as a private treatment price, the guide says so rather than estimating one. Guides carry a fact-checked date and are published under Dentist Tasmania as the accountable publisher; there is no named clinical reviewer, so the guides explain treatments and what they typically involve rather than giving advice for an individual case.
Reporting an Error or Claiming a Profile
Clinic details change: a phone number is disconnected, a practice moves, a clinic closes. If you find a listing that is wrong or out of date, the most reliable fix is checking the clinic's own website or calling them directly, since that is also how this directory verifies details. Corrections and claims are handled on the contact page, by email. Please treat any listing here as a starting point to confirm with the clinic itself rather than a guarantee of current details.
